Willie Jewell's - Brunswick

I'm from the north and I love ALWAYS a good grill. I noticed Willie Jewells from the highway and stopped. The highlight were the friendly staff. Diet Coke was diet Coke. I want my garlic bread roasted more with less butter. I enjoyed my St. Louis Ribs and added the sauce (4 types) at my discretion. The scratched greens were good and so were the fried cucumbers. Finally, the Street Corn was pleasant, but I found that with TOO MUCH butter. Worth visiting.

Location and mood: located in a tricky place and can be difficult to find, it is basically behind the Circle K gas station in front of the Golden Isles Strike Zone of Golden Isles pkwy. Willie Jewell’s Old School Bar-B-Q is one of a kind of experience and one in fact it is well worth the lively atmosphere of hungry dinner in and out is simply amazing. The food was excellent and very tasty, we had the brisket and its amazing hamburgers and they are really old school but extremely tasteful and delicious. Thank you. What a great stop for lunch and right from I-95! We had a BBQ loaded baked potato and a pulled pork plate. Both were hot and fresh! Great service and explanation of the BBQ Sauce Bar. Clean tables and bathrooms too! I would recommend this place over the “brand name” places all day!!!! Then we had peach and banana pudding! Individuals serve sizes and so good!!!!

Found this place on our way up to Hilton Head. If you are going through Brunswick make sure to stop. Had the 2 meat lunch, brisket and ribs with fries corn on the cob. Very tender and juicy. The Slawppy Pig sandwich is a must have. Sweet and tangy sauce is the perfect mix of hot and sweet. Even got banana pudding to go! Worth the stop!!!
