On our way to the Amalfi we left the high way and stopped at this family restaurant. We had a surprise starter and home made pasta. Home made as you would have at oma's.
I came to this restaurant nearly two years ago and it was an hidden gem. I fear that the excessive popularity has contributed to its decline. The food is still great, like the mixed antipasti and the pasta (duly hand made). The lasagne with artichokes is to die for. However the portions have grown worse. The mixed grilled meat was a collection of bones. We asked for a portion of roast potatoes and they brought a handful. Very tasty but the portions resemble the ones of a Michelin starred restaurant without mirroring the presentation or the ambience. The very positive note is that they are dog friendly and they allow our four legged friends in.
Excellent food. Wonderful selection of starters. Decor could be improved. Nice surroundings. Friendly atmosphere.
