The inside space was very small and we just happened to be there with 3 large groups. They do have a large patio with a lot more tables and seats for the warmer months. We did get to talk to the employees more once the larger groups had left and they weren't as busy. The wines were delicious and my favorite was the mulled wine which is only available on the weekends.
Our group was warmly greeted by the charming owner!! Tasting was incredible! All the wines were very well balanced and so delicious! We loved learning about each wine and their making process. So so fun!!!! Highly recommend:
Veteran owned. Family operated. Delicious wine! This may be the smallest winery in the county, but they are definitely first class. The owner and his family run and operate with lots enthusiasm, great wine knowledge, and friendly service. Marks humor was as dry as some of the wine. He was entertaining and gave a great tour. Definitely recommend stopping here even before the bigger operations.
My GF and I wanted to try a local winery while visiting family and randomly picked Hickory Creek. It was such a wonderful experience and we had the best time. The wines were fantastic and Jamie was exceptional guiding us through the tasting. We left feeling like family and will be back our next trip!
My friends and I came to the area for a bachelorette party wine tour. This location was the third stop on our trip. This is the smallest winery in the region but we got to interact with the staff the most at this location. They were super knowledgeable about everything and you could tell how much they loved winemaking. They greeted us outside as we walked up and gave us a choice of inside our outside. They let us know that could have a guided tasting inside or a flight board outside. We opted for the guided tasting since we all are pretty much novices. These were probably some of the more sophisticated wines that we tasted. I was not a fan but again I am not really a wine person, I was just along for the ride. We did get to try a test pilot wine that was made from hybrid grapes that didn't even have a name yet. That was pretty cool. We loved hearing about the history of things and getting a more in-depth description of each wine. And playing on the vintage tractor out front.
