This place seems to get very mixed reviews, but my were all positive. Bottom line, if you want fast food, it is not the place for you. My order took some time, but when it arrived, it was first. Then it looked like... something that you didn't rush so I was happy. Good service interesting beer and good food.
Nice and cheap place to eat right in the middle of the touristic area, at the back of the main street. English spoken, better to book in the evening.
My wife and I made a couple of visits to Bodega La Mahala during our visit to the city. On the first occasion it was just for a couple of beers as we had already dined somewhere else. Staff were nice and friendly and the...beer was tasty. On our second visit we eat and again had an enjoyable experience. We both started with traditional soups, I went for the Tripe Soup and my wife opted for the Goulash, both of which were excellent. We followed the soup with a vegetarian platter as we had eaten so much meat over the weekend. It was slightly disappointing. We finished off with the traditional desert Papanasi, which was excellent. Be warned, only order one as you get a very large portion. Overall, a nice little restaurant with good traditional food and friendly staff, all at reasonable price.
Tomamos 3 cervezas, un pastel de queso y salchichas con verdura a la parrilla. Estaba todo muy rico y no llegó a 15€. Cenamos en la terraza. Algunos platos están tachados y no tienen demasiada variedad.
