We had a nice evening in the garden. small menu with great variety. the eating was very good, service pleasantly light brushed) . we have appreciated the wine advice. amazing chips! we're coming back. valérie and arthur
This restaurant has been updated since our last visit. it offers a range of menus to different trips. we took the set menu that was good in the round. our main course was bark in a kind of pancake that was somewhat dry and uninteresting, but. everything else was very good. the portions are generous.
We dined satisfactorily at the Brasserie de l’Horloge, 7 km away. Though located in an unprepossessing position near the autoroute entrance, we ate well and happily al fresco. We would certainly eat there again.
Avoid this place at all costs the service was OK, but the food and wine was the worst I've ever had the misfortune to taste. We chose the house red wine which tasted like red wine vinegar it was pale and thin and...just the most revolting wine we've ever tasted. The smoked salmon was palid looking and chewy it was an incredibly cheap cut of salmon probably from a sick fish. And the fillet steak was thin cut full of gristle which I couldn't eat so gave to my partner who stomach most meats and he didn't want to eat it either. Honestly, the quality of food at Harvester of Toby Carvery back home (not that I have ever eaten there) is likely to offer better quality cuts of meat and fish and wine than the Brasserie de l'Horlage which says a lot. And it wasn't even cheap at 80euros for 2 starters, mains, glass of wine and a kids main course. Amazing what some restaurants can get away is unbelieveable.
