Lo Schicchero - BUCINE

An unpretentious, noisy (go for people watching, not for conversation), simple local place, open only on weekend evenings (and Sunday lunch). It is located BEHIND a café on the main street of this little town. Very reasonably priced, the pasta with seafood was fantastic. Pizza more than passes muster (when it is made with the thin crust favored in Tuscany, how could it not be fabulous). Tables outside in summer. If you want a village experience, and a delicious, inexpensive meal, this is a good place to try when you are in the area.

Friendly, warm atmosphere. One of the best Pizza’s I have ever tasted. With our lack of the Italian language, even the chef came out to help us choose. Entrance isn’t obvious have to walk around one building to get there, but worth it. Highly recommend!

We visited when staying in a nearby village. The seafood was absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced we spent €45 for two people and came away feeling satisfied. One important thing to note is that this is not in Montevarchi like the map suggests but in Mercatale Valdano!

Eating was amazing! the personal is beautiful and polite.
