Very tasty traditional Romanian food in a nice setting with lake view in the Herestrau park. Very interesting wine menu as well. The service was professional as in not just youngsters on a summer job but front of house knowing exactly what hospitality means.

The cakes are amazing, but they have such a poor service. The staff is very unprofessional, the lady at the counter is always yelling at her colleagues and totally ignoring the clients waiting to order. She's far from making you feel welcomed, rather acts like she's making a favor serving you.

Indeed high quality desserts. We sampled 4 cakes and they were all very tasty, albeit very sweet. The savory mushroom tart was also good. High prices but good quality overall. Service is not great.

We stopped here just randomly while walking to the park and lake. I had a quail omelet with scallions and sheep cheese. It was delicious and we were so glad we stopped in. The waiter was cheerful and friendly. A beautiful little bakery where you can get some other delicious and artistic pastries. Definitely don’t miss this on your way to the lake.
