We got the combo — sausage and ttoekboki which was delicious, it was warm and fresh and delectable. Just the right amount of spice. The kimbap was a+ I love when they make the roll big. The food was great and satisfying. Would come back here again! Everything was fresh and tasty. Good korean food spot to come for snack like meal with friends!
I ordered number 20 jopok kimbap and I was so disappointed on what I got. I can 't believe this is what you meant by dungchi (the menu name) Jopok Tteokbokki is a Korean company and they misnamed their menu even though they know the menu name, and they should make their food followed to their menu name. The order I got was just a normal size kimbap and I payed 8 dollars. I would rather buy one from regular k market. Won 't make this choice again. Never gain.
I was craving kimbap and the other two in my party were wanting tteokbokki so we decided to give this place a try. It was in the opposite direction of where we were planning on going afterwards, but this detour was worth it. Hands down, one of the best kimbab I've ever had- and I've had many! It was huge and that did initially worried me, but it was so delicious! The every single ingredient used to make this roll was so perfect together-amazing flavor, amazing texture-this will be an item I'll always order when I come here. We also ordered the jopok topokki and the assorted fried set. We were concerned that it wasn't enough food, but it was just enough for all three of us. The rice cake in the topokki was chewy and perfect. The fried set would be disappointing to get on its own as they were all kind of room temperature but we got it with the purpose of dipping it into the topokki and that definitely was the way to do it. I did enjoy the fried seaweed rolls the most but there was also calamari, sweet potato, potato, and a dumpling that just had noodles. The meal also came with radish and fish cake soup. I saw someone else ask for another bowl of the fish cake soup-we really enjoyed it as well! Cannot wait to return here!
This was about fifth time coming here for some topokki. Yes we like their food. Their spicy rice cake, Korean sausage, Korean sushi and Fish cake are usually our choices. Our one star rating is coming from today's service. We were helped by a male server, who we believed was the owner. He was kind but he certainly didn't know how to wait on customers. He forgot to bring out many things to our table, and I even heard one table complain because they were waiting for a long time to place an order. Perhaps his regular server called out today, which we felt bad for. He didn't deserve 1 star up to this point. When we were paying for the bill and writing the amount for gratuity, he demanded 18% because we had more than 6 people in our party. We had five adults, one 2-year-old girl and one 1-year-old girl. We don't mind giving out tips that they deserve for providing excellent service but what he demanded was pretty upsetting.
Comfort food, Not too spicy on Topokki sauce.Recommend to come with friends and share the items. so you can order more dishes.Parking: Free Parking
