It is not dense at all, it is a very light dough. The cream inside is the perfect amount of sweet. I can't explain it. Go in and get something. Edit: I went back the next day for more. As I hoped, everything was amazing. I have a bear claw, cappuccino donuts, more cream filled long Johns, Sprinkle donuts and glazed donuts. This is absolutely the best bakery in BV and one of the best probably in Colorado.
DIESER PLACE is a MUSS STOP!!! Oh, God! These donuts remind me of the little town bakery I grew up with. The woman welcomes you with warmth and a smile every time and you feel like you are transformed into a Hallmark movie haha! And the donuts melt perfection in your mouth! The chocolate long John and the turns are my favorite but honestly everything you will get there will be delicious! Make yourself a favor and stop for all warm fuzzies!
All I've eaten was delicious! You stay busy! Classic must go, with sweet older ladies running it! Very expensive too.
I have always been back to this bakery since at least 96’ and it is a Buena Vista corner stone in my head. They only make an apple sauce donut on Saturday, this donut is worth the trip all on their own. If you live somewhere in the state, the TRUST ME drive is worth it. I've never found a better donut time. It melts in the mouth almost like a hot Krispy Kreme Donut, but that doesn't have to be hot or even fresh. You stay good for 36 to 48 hours in the original bag, so buy extra. Everything else is great and freshly baked daily and their bread makes great sandwiches, with their crispy baked bread is the stand. I can now taste cinnamon and apples and plan my next trip.
Lobacks has incredible donuts. 10/10 recommend the apple sauce donut
