Feedback geven. What do you order when eating in a Catalunyan restaurant?: bread slices with grated tomatoes and ham and tortilla de papas. The first was soggy, the second had raw potato slices in it. The seafood so salty!!!! I'll wait another 10 years to go back and see if there's a new cook in responsibility.
This is a very beautiful place to get a preview of the Catalunya culture, visit museum and theatre, and finally have an excellent dinner with typical dishes. I think you won't be disappointed, at least that was my experience.
We went there for lunch, the service was pleasant and quite efficient, but the kitchen is not what you could expect. We were served tasteless mushrooms as apetie = Zres, and then we had Gambas, who were acceptable and Abadejo, who was of dubious quality. Even the Catalan cream was a deception. If you think this place is not on the cheap side, there are other best deals in Buenos Aires
Was super excited to visit this restaurant as we love Catalan dishes. Large building and the restaurant is on the back fabulous wall tiles, but commented enough of the interior design! Menu selection was excellent and he also good wine list. Clearly, they don't have half bottles (my man likes white and I like red! So we went for a bottle of white that was beautiful. We also had a free artichoke liquor with grapefruit, this is my new favorite drink delicious! Our appetizers were beautiful garlic mushrooms and eggs for my husband and I had the spring vegetables Bruschetta. We both loved them! Then it went slightly downhill I ordered salmon in white wine scallops with creamy spinach. The salmon floated in a quite terrible white wine sauce, the skin was soggy and the scallops were like no other scallops I had seen before gray, small and obviously frozen! Yes! The spinach was very watery and over half the bowl was water. My husband had slowly boiled lamb he said was fine, but very salty. Perhaps we have made bad decisions in our name, but it has put a bit of a damper in our view of the place. But try again and hope for a better outcome.
We had our best meal while in Buenos Aries here. We arrived early afternoon on a Sunday with one dish in mind paella. We chose the traditional paella, and was told the meal would take about 45 minutes to prepare. Having made paella before, we knew the only good paella takes time and cannot be rushed. We ordered a bottle of Torrontes and enjoyed some of the bread brought to our table. Our wait did not disappoint. The meal was superb! Our waiter brought out the finished dish (for 2) and dished out individual servings. We spent longer enjoying the meal than it took to prepare. During our experience, we saw traditional families meeting and sharing a meal together. Multi generational families, young couples, older generations all enjoying good company, family, and great food. We felt blessed to be able to experience and enjoy such a wonderful time.
