El Estrebe - Buenos Aires

I returned to this restaurant after eight years and found it as pleasant as ever. beautiful ambiente (no tourist), friendly staff, excellent eating and wine. everything perfect.

The hotel is located in beautiful city part recoleta. stylish bathroom. great service. excellent eating. highly recommended. I will return. we had two appetizers: provoleta estrebe (drilled provolone with beats, as well as mix de achuras especial a great introduction to this selection of Argentine favorites (chitlins, kidneys,...heart sweetbread (molleja de corzon), bloodworst and two species of chorizo. it was a very big appetizer - safe enough for 3-4 people to enjoy choice. if they are not enthusiastic, these unusual objects (at least unusual for many from the usa), then this is not for them. we had a big main course-vacio del fino (a whole flankensteak), was also great. 3 of us ate very well with these two articles. without this big mix de achuras starter, we would have ordered at least another main course.

In recoleta and our hotel recommended this restaurant, which is a great recommendation. we went early, in which we were the first thoughts to the door. a nice reception and a selection of tables. leonardo brought the menus and told us to order a meal. to share. we had read that the portions were large. Anyway, we had to start on empanadas (the best we had in South America). we shared a filet that was cooked for perfection. we had a half of chips real chips not frozen (what was huge) and nice. everything delicious. we asked for a bottle of red wine, leonardo said good wein or very good wein, we settled down on good wine and he brought a bottle of red that we enjoyed very much (and I normally do not drink red wine). the meal also came with a small brot that was still warm. unfortunately no place to pudding. service was great, the meal was fantastic. the best steak we had for years. highly recommended.

I searched restaurants in recoleta and el estrebbe was high on the list. we are here after a long flight and were pleasantly surprised. I had bife rinonada completa, which a very large steak with two fried eggs on the top fryed on the... side boiled medium. it was delicious so big, I took the half to dinner in the next night. my wife had pamplona pollo, which had a very large breast filled with cheese jamon. we ordered a tropical salad baked sweet potatoes with carmelized wobble. both were very delicious in the next night. the server alejandra was very friendly our time there made very pleasant. I highly recommend this place when they are in recoleta near the friedhof.

This place was amazing, the staff was attentive, the food was outstanding! It was one of our best meals we have had in Buenos Aires, we plan on returning tomorrow tonight. Extensive menu, recommend the ribeye for two.
