They would expect a beautiful, fleshy sauce that holds on the pasta. Instead, I got a watery, underscored mess with very little meat in it. They took the record back without discussion. My substitute dish, Spaghetti Calcio e Pepe, was not prepared with the adverised olive oil and Peccorino, but came with a creamy sauce that was missing from Gorgonzola and salt. Talk about saving money in the wrong places. I also felt that the staff didn't want to be where nobody smiled. I don't recommend this restaurant.
It is a traditional Italian family restaurant. We celebrated my friends' birthday and they had a beautiful centerpiece with a Limoncello and balloons for us. The food was good and the service was also nice!
Great meal. Appropriate prices, pleasant atmosphere. Great service. Excellent wines. Very recommended. 9 a.m.
I loved the Berenjena parmigiana! And the volcano de dulce de leche! The waiters were a little slow.
Probably should have just turned around and left when we were greeted by the rude hostess. But it was raining and we were walking, so we decided to stay. Bad decision. I don 't know what the hostess 's problem was, but she was just rude. I...mean she is the first impression of the restaurant, and she did not do a good job. She was upset that we didn 't have a reservation. I don 't know why, they were pretty empty when we got there. But if it was a problem, she could have said something like, I apologize but we have several reservations coming in soon, it will be a 20 minute wait , or something like that. Instead she was just rude about us not having a reservation, but sat us immediately anyways. The food and service after the initial impression was good. Not great, not wonderful, just good . It was not the best restaurant or meal I have had by a long shot. The milanesas were probably the worst I 've tried, very very dry. Pasta was good, not out of this world. Couple of issues we had. First, when we got the bill it seemed high, so I was looking through it. The waiter seemed impatient that I was looking through it and so I felt rushed, however, I continued to look through it. I noticed that there were 2 extra meals charged! $2000 pesos extra!. I nicely pointed this out, to which he apologized and had someone remove the two meals from the bill. But what if I hadn 't looked at the bill so carefully? Especially since I could tell he wasn 't happy I was looking over the bill. I guess he expected me to give him my credit card as soon as the bill arrived without looking at it as many people do. How many people have maybe had extra meals charged to them too without noticing? Second issue we had is that when we got the bill corrected and I gave him my credit card, he asked if I was also going to put the tip on the credit card. I said yes. So he has the credit card machine in his hand and starts the process. I asked him if I needed to let him know how much tip? He said he was going to do 10% (so he was going to do 10% without confirming we me first that that is how much I wanted to leave). I said okay, 10% is fine. He finishes gives me my receipt and leaves. I was shocked to see that he left himself more that 10%! He left himself more like 13-14%. While it doesn 't end up being a ton of money, for a party of 8 it was a good amount of money. But it is the principle that is what really bothers me. It was no mistake, 10% is easy to calculate in one 's own mind. That is no mistake. Will not go back here and will not recommend to others as well.
