La Popular - Buenos Aires

Husband & I called into this restaurant as we couldn't get in to our original choice. Waiter gave us bread with different dips to try. I ordered pasta with mushroom, ham, cream & Parmesan, so tasty. Husband ordered sirloin steak with chips, steak was hugh & very tasty. He couldn't eat the chips. Waiter very helpful & knowledgable.

Regular, lindo lugar, buena atención, porciones abundantes pero caro por demás, yo pedí un lomo a la panceta estaba rico pero tenía casi nada de panceta y champiñones, mí esposa pidió bondiola reducida al malbec con frutos rojos con puré de batata y le trajeron bondiola a la parrilla. Cuando nos quejamos la explicación fue que "en la cocina está llena de paraguayos y santiagueños que no entienden nada (?)". No volveré.

La avenida Caseros es una calle que está cada dia más linda! La popular es un lugar de comida bien argentina, la atención de los meseros es inmejorable!

Five of us arrived early (by BA standards) and were shown to a table towards the back of the restaurant.The bread on the table was stale, the waiter was not surprised when we asked to change it. The food wasn't hot, and very underwhelming. The floor in the ladies toilet was greasy, nothing to dry your hands on. It appears to be a popular place, perhaps it is for locals and foreign tourists are less important. That's how it felt. Wouldn't go again
