They moved to around the corner. 950 Bolivar. 25 peso for a full glass of wine! Good price, good food, great value!
We came here for the best choripan about 8 months ago. Sadly we revisited here today (20-4-2017) and it was closed. It looks like it was under renovation as the shop was completely knocked down and construction workers were inside.
I went looking for Nuestra Parilla late one afternoon in early April 2017. Realising I must’ve walked just past it, I turned around, and then stood right in front… wondering if I had the right place. It really is a hole in the wall, and let’s just say the look of the place didn’t fill me with confidence about the hygiene and quality of food. I debated whether I really wanted to try dodgy looking food on day one of a 2-week trip! I walked past a couple of times, then stood across, on the other side of the road, debating whether to risk it, when I remembered that the place was apparently a favourite of Argentinian footballers. If eating there didn’t kill them…Anyhoo… I went in and asked for the Choripan (chorizo in a bun). I was served two halves of grilled chorizo on crusty French bread, and asked to add sauce as per taste (the red chilli sauce is hot, the green chimichurri is mild). I added a little of both sauces, and the overall result was pretty good. This is traditional Argentinian asado, the way it was meant to be. The food was really cheap (ARS 40 for the choripan), and I paid with cash.I wouldn’t recommend going out of the way to eat at Nuestra Parilla – it really isn’t going to change your life. But if you’re already near Mercado San Telmo, and want something to munch on, give it a go.
Really cool place to stop and chill out, watch the world go by with some great cheap Argentine BBQ meats.
