Empanadas 45p, spear of Lomo, chicken, bacon with potatoes...380p Lomo ca. 500g was 480p. Overall it was 1,200p. The exchange rate was 75p: 1$. So this meal cost $16 the wait for the food was reasonable! We always leave 10-15% tip in Pesos! That was our last meal of the day. Well, except a flan this evening! In fact, we have our main meal as a late lunch. Only a few people, better service, then we can get it away!
We visited here on the recommendation of the place where we stayed and ordered the parrilla for two. There was plenty of meat, but most were overcooked and therefore a little dry and chewing. It was rather disappointed.
We could not expect this little parrilla to return this year and it was not disappointed! Eat as well as our last visits last year. Don't expect any pleasure and no outdoor food. But the Lomosteak was fabulous. This is especially a neighborhood...with good service, fair prices and good service. A note that they keep the front door locked so patient and they come and open it for you.
You have visited many times over the years. Quality fluctuates. Our recent visit produced a moderate Matambrito de cerdo, not worth the price. However, the flan con dulce de leche y crema is a must.
WE just happened on this local spot in the neighborhood of our apartment! Wow we ate here after Don Julio and my husband said his lomo was better here! Friendly service, delicious meats what more could you ask! We've been here twice. Tonight...we split the lomo and a salad of tomatos, onions and lettuce I couldn't have cooked it home for less .
