It was spacious, clean and had everything you could imagine to be a home away from home. This all season cabin would be good for anytime of the year. We stayed for a whole week! The cabins are just outside of Gros Morne National Park and close enough to Deer Lake if you need supplies or feel like treating yourself to Tim Hortons. My family has lived near the Jackladder now for many years and I have to say this has been the first real time I have enjoyed it, now that it is under new management. The kitchen party on Friday nights with local entertainment and the best wings you 've ever tasted! Be sure to ask for the house sauce. Don 't forget to join them in the dining room for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We had a yummy breakfast with homemade bread and jams. I totally recommend this location to stay and to eat. We searched a lot of cabins in the area, none were are nice and convenient as these.
Great family restaurant. Good local food. Finally a restaurant that serves moose, but only burgers. Locals told us about the place, otherwise it is pretty hidden from tourists.
Stopped in after our hike. They have everything you need. Gas, vegetables, medicine, ice, water, etc.
