Just be sure to try their homemade salsa; it's not hot per se but does have a little heat. Lastly, the ambiance was great. I enjoyed the music they played. If you are in the area (ex: looking for food near the airport) I highly recommend going here. Just watch out for the food coma later.
I hadn't been to this restaurant in over 10 years. When I walked in, I immediately wanted to leave, but we were meeting friends. The humidity inside was stuffy and uncomfortable, even worse than the heat outside. Despite being told the air conditioning was on, all we could see from our booth was an industrial size fan. The decor looked like it hadn't been updated since the restaurant first opened. Our booth was torn and the stuffing was visible. It was 6pm and the restaurant was fairly empty. We didn't have to wait long to order, but the food was just average, with the salad seeming like it came from a bag and the fries clearly frozen. The portion of fries was small, more like a child's serving. The employees were friendly, but we were surprised to see that the fountain drinks were $4.10 and refills weren't included. We could have gotten a drink for much cheaper across the street at 7-11. I prefer good diners, this one felt old and outdated. I won't be returning.
I visited a cozy cafe/diner that appeared to be housed in a former Shoney's location. I ordered Fish and Chips, which were decent but not outstanding. The chips were perfectly cooked crinkle fries. My daughter enjoyed a delicious breakfast burrito, which I wish I had ordered as well. The portion sizes were generous, with more than enough food for one meal. I also appreciated that breakfast items were available all day.
I chose this restaurant because it was conveniently located across from Woodbury University where I was attending a conference. The atmosphere was cozy and reminiscent of an old-fashioned American diner, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Though I was too hungry and engrossed in conversation with my colleagues to take photos of my food, I was impressed by their extensive menu. I decided to order breakfast for lunch since they offered breakfast all day, which I appreciated. Our server was very attentive and skilled, anticipating our needs and handling multiple receipts with ease. Overall, not a bad option if I find myself in the area again.
5 Stars for diner food! This is one our usual places and we have been coming here since the kids were little and it's always been good. Great service and nice people, very fond of breakfast esp. the Fitness Breakfasts. I usually order the egg white/turkey scramble with a side of Pico de Gallo and roll it up in a nice warm corn tortilla. The outside patio is nice; and inside booths are very comfortable. They also have a bar which is good when you want a glass of wine with your lunch or dinner.
