Wir haben auf der Durchfahrt eine Nacht dort verbracht. Die Zimmer waren wunderschön eingerichtet, modern und sehr sauber. Der gemütliche Innenhof lädt zum Verweilen ein!! Das Frühstücksbuffet lässt keine Wünsche offen, lecker, vielfältig und sehr zu empfehlen die selbstgemachten Nussecken. Wir haben uns bei den sympathischen Gastgebern super wohlgefühlt und werden sicher wiederkommen! Rooms: 5

Food drinks: Das Restaurant ist sehr gemütlich und einladend. Die Begrüßung war sehr herzlich und der Service wirklich hervorragend. Auf Bestelländerungen wurde sehr aufmerksam reagiert. Die Speisekarte bietet eine schöne Auswahl auch für Vegetarier. Unser Geschmack wurde gut getroffen. Wir haben unsere Teller komplett leer gegessen, da die Portionen etwas knapp bemessen waren. Sonst wären es fünf Sterne gewesen. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen, entspannten Abend und kommen gerne wieder. Wir haben uns als Gäste sehr wohl gefühlt.

Burgbernheim and the restaurant are located slightly off the B470 between the A7 exit Bad Windsheim and the spa town Bad Windsheim. The guesthouse has its own guest parking lot. In front of the building, in the shade of two large chestnut trees, there is a small beer garden. The guest rooms can be reached via an external staircase. The half-timbered building makes a well-kept impression and invites you to linger. At lunchtime, only two rooms are open for guests today. We find a free table in the actual tavern. The ambience: A quaint room with various decorations on the walls and a small beer mug collection above the counter. The other room is reserved for the kids who were enrolled today along with their relatives. An older lady brings us the menus and asks for our drink wishes. A non-alcoholic wheat beer 0.5 ltr for the driver for €3.10 and for me a fruit juice pressed from local fruits as a spritzer 0.4 ltr for €2.90, we would like that in advance! The menu offers, among other dishes, today also pig's trotters, boiled meat, and blood and liver sausages on sauerkraut with potatoes or bread. The portion for a guest at the neighboring table makes my husband determined and me curious. So for me just ONE liver sausage with sauerkraut and bread, the price for each blood sausage, one liver sausage on the menu is €5.00! My husband once again doesn't get enough and orders a platter of boiled meat for €8.90. The drinks were promptly prepared at the counter and served well chilled. After the school starters and their companions were fed in the next room, we expected slightly longer preparation times. But we were positively surprised and received our dishes relatively quickly. When it comes to plating, the kitchen can't make big leaps with these dishes. The portions were hearty and the sausages with meat were layered over the sauerkraut. The fresh bread was served in a basket. My liver sausage with sauerkraut and bread tasted excellent. From the platter of boiled meat for my husband, I snagged one or two bites. We both came to the conclusion that we had landed a real stroke of luck for lunch today. The food tasted truly excellent in its simplicity. AND: My better half couldn't finish his portion!!! He had a whole liver sausage packed to take home. That doesn't happen very often. For the price of my slimmed-down version with just one sausage: I was only charged €3.00. Conclusion: Kitchen performance excellent, affordable, clean! HAPPILY repeat!!! Personnel: very attentive, friendly, and efficient For those of you driving camper vans: In the village, near the swimming pool, there is a quiet parking area free of charge with waste disposal for a fee for around 10 mobile homes.
