Salsa and queso were delicious and everyone enjoyed their meals, portions are a good size. There are about 10-15 tables and it's very old/dated inside but the service was quick and our waiter was on top of everything. It appeared he was the only one waiting tables, but we didn't wait for anything, he was the most efficient waiter I've seen (wish I caught his name). Would definitely come back if in the area.
We live in WV and we were here for a job , I'm Latina and I know about Central America and Mexican food . Let me tell you I love the food at this restaurant, we visit very expensive Mexican restaurant and not even close to the flavor , this little restaurant owned by a Indian family is a delicious Mexican restaurant. I was happy with our meal and drinks . This man works hard since people don't want to work he does everything in the restaurant and have a smile all the time for his customers.
Excellent food. The waiter doesn't come around as much as he should. On phone a lot on other side of restaurant. It would be 5 stars if it wasn't for that. Has happened 3 times now.
This is good Mexican food. The portions are large as are the drinks . The non alcoholic drinks are refillable for free. Nachos and a delicious salsa are also free amd served before the main order . It is clean , spacious , service is prompt and there is plenty of parking. There is a wide variety on the menu and you can also design your own meal .
If a customer has a taste for Mexican Food, and there is only one Mexican restaurant in a small town like Burgess, dining opportunities are limited. If a restaurant is the only game in town, the owner may be tempted to eliminate some ingredients that are in the menu descriptions in an order to save money and/or simplify labor in food preparation. At Los Patrones II in Burgess the owner has yielded to this temptation and hit an all-time low for me several weeks ago. I will not return anytime soon. My wife and I have been regulars (i.e., two or three times per month) for several years, and we have noticed a slow and steady decline in the quality of the food and the service. On those evenings when the owner is present, and the owner is our waiter, we are not welcomed when we arrive, and our attempts at a brief exchange of pleasantries is not reciprocated. Often, the owner 's first (and only) words are, You know whatcha want? My wife and I visited Los Patrones II several weeks ago for dinner, and the entire restaurant was entrusted to one waiter, who seemed stressed to say the least. My wife ordered a dish that included guacamole salad (per the menu description), which was not present in the meal that was brought to her. I ordered the chicken nachos and received a tray of shredded lettuce that no diner could identify as chicken nachos except by way of a lucky guess. Beneath the bed of lettuce there lurked a small amount of shredded chicken and some re-fried beans. There was no diced tomato, no cheese, and no sour cream. The profit margin on this item must be huge. Our waiter acknowledged that the meals he brought to us did not fit the descriptions provided in the menu and that the menu description and the meal provided to the customer should be synchronized. I would never order what was brought to our table if the description in the menu were an accurate one. During this most-recent visit, I should add that it was necessary to ask our waiter to come over to our table to discuss how our order was filled. To the best of my memory, no member of the wait staff at Los Patrones II ever visits a table mid-meal to ask if we need anything or if there is a problem. As I remember, at no point in years, have I ever been asked at the cash register if everything is agreeable nor am I ever thanked for my patronage. An entirely different experience exists up the road in Callao, and the short drive is worth the trip.
