The entry in Burgos was not promising, but a fast internet search us on Saciedad Secreta - the name made it too interesting to give up. The restaurant is a little hard to find - to say it is from the beaten track would be an understatement, but I am so glad that we penetrated and made it to this place. The entrance is through the very cool and well-designed bar area. The dining room is in the back. Atmosphere is hip with clever references around a secret society. Service is very attentive and professional, while friendly and very personal. The food is definitely the star of the show. The small personalized kitchen shows some serious and innovative examples of modern Spanish cuisine. The wine list is very good, with a focus on interesting and innovative producers about the great names. The prices for the menu and the wine list are moderate. The two New York foods are back. In fact, we will spend the night in Burgos because of this restaurant. It is a destination restaurant-high recommended!
Nice restaurant with interesting dishes. The food is very high and the plates have a combination of unusual flavors that are always interesting. Waiters are very friendly and they explain the dishes in detail. It is a fine culinary experience without the price tag. I recommend the Toast de papada, callos y morros, escabeche de bonito y cordoniz and the caramelized Torrijas.
A hidden gem. Excellent, Michelin-style food for incredibly reasonable prices. The design of the restaurant is great and the staff are friendly and helpful. 100% recommended.
The food I ate is delicious!!! This an easy 5 star visit! Try their eggplant with smoked sardines! They are the best!
