Post Oak Bbq - Burkburnett

Very good food!! Mac and cheese was very basic but was great with the chopped brisket mixed in. Higher priced than the other BBQ joints in the area. Outside seating is very nice and dog friendly!

The food was ok, i ordered the Bulldog Burrito and my husband got the 2 meat. He said the brisket was really tender. He ordered the beans and mac n cheese and they were ok. My burrito looked to have as much meat on it as the 2 piece meal he got. I also ordered t 2 jalapeño poppers and they were not crispy and on the verge of being cold. What stood out most about this place is normally you pull into a BBQ place and you see the smokers smoking and can smell it as soon as you get out of the car. It wasn't late either. It was around 1. They stay open until 9..so confuses me they were not BBQing or smoking. They were not cooking anything and the smokers looked fairly new.. It makes me wonder if the food is not even cooked there. Just strange. Sides were all almost room temperature, meat was too and that would explain why you don't see or smell any BBQ cooking. The server was very friendly and took care of us and the restaurant looked clean. That said, food was all edible, but not cheap for the flavor. We probably wouldn't go back.

Probably one of the top BBQ joints in the area. Nice clean area and hours are standard business hours so you can enjoy dinner as well. Definitely recommend if you are in the mood for some Texas BBQ

First time stopping through Texas and this is a must to stop and eat some homemade barbecue. They had great service and really good menu items. My wife had a brisket plate with Mac and cheese, and fried okra; where I had a brisket spud. Both were GREAT, everything is made in house and you can tell by the taste. 10/10 will be coming back!
