Al's Diner - Burk's Falls

This little gem of a diner has the best food! Everything is fresh and delicious...love the interior with Betty Boop everywhere. Staff is friendly and its nice spot.French fries and gravy is delicious as well....honestly very good food! Highly recommended!

Eight of us stopped in for lunch last week. We didn't know anywhere to eat, and found this place by luck. Everyone left very satisfied. I had the fish and chips - done perfectly, and I was surprised by the size. (Bigger than expected which was great.) Awesome atmosphere, and I hope they can get the jukebox fixed. They've put a lot of effort into it.

Stopped in Burk's Falls to tank up. We inquired if there was a good eatery around and the attendant told us to go to Al's, telling us it was the best around. He wasn't lying. The place has a retro look to it, with photos and discs of the 60s days. We just talked about the place, pointing to this and that until our meal came. The food was absolutely delicious. I had their daily special, meat loaf with some kind of delicious pureed potatoes with seared fried vegetables. My wife had a monster smoked meat on rye with a home made potato salad. She said that was the best salad she's ever had. Next time we go there might just be a trip to Al's and then back to North Bay.

Double smoke bacon from his smoker homemade jam and hash browns are delicious and they are not deep fried. My go to breakfast joint .

We're on our way to North Bay today and we stopped for some breakfast at Al's Diner because it had good TripAdvisor reviews. I love a nice home cooked Canadian breakfast and that's what we got here. This is a nice little place that serves a good cup of coffee and a great breakfast. You'd be surprised how many places can screw up eggs, back bacon and home fries, but not here, everything was excellent and the service was just as good as the food. Take some time, get off the highway and stop in at Al's Diner for a bite to eat, you'll be glad you did.
