Hidden Cherub - BURLEIGH HEADS

I was somewhat let down by this restaurant, to be honest. The reviews on Happy Cow are overwhelmingly positive, but my partner and I didn't share that experience during our visit. I ordered the buffalo wings and a chick'n taco because they were part of a $5 special on Thursday. While it was decent, the dishes lacked flavor. The chick'n reminded me more of pork, as it was quite fatty and tough to chew. My partner had the Californian burger, which he found rather bland. The fries that came with it were also underwhelming. I suspect we would have had a better experience if we had tried different items instead of the chicken dishes. On a positive note, the staff were very friendly, and our food and drinks arrived quickly. The atmosphere was also fantastic—dark and cozy, making it a great spot to grab a bite and drink before heading out to the clubs, or just a charming place to catch up with friends. I visited from Sydney and I'm so glad I had this app to discover this amazing place! We ordered the California burger and a rhubarb martini, and everything was fantastic. The atmosphere is great as well. I will definitely be coming back the next time I'm in the area!
