The Fish Chip - Burlington

I recently dined at a restaurant where I tried the fried shrimp, fried calamari, fried mushrooms, and hush puppies - all were delicious, but my favorite was the grilled squid and chips dish. The portions were generous, with a light beer-battered fish and slightly crispy fries. The tartar sauce, spicy tartar sauce, malt vinegar, and ketchup on the table allowed us to experiment with different flavor combinations. The owner, who also served as our host, was a delightful individual. In addition to the fried seafood, they offered Greek dishes such as gyros, chicken souvlaki, Greek salad, and baklava. Dining there is always a great experience, and the owner is always welcoming. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

The haddock was perfect: golden, crunchy batter on the outside and tender, flaky fish on the inside. Would highly recommend the spicy tartar sauce. It's not really spicy but it is really good. The chips were great: crunchy on the outside and hot and fluffy on the inside and perfectly seasoned with a packet of malt vinegar. The slaw was crisp and a perfect accompaniment to the fish. While I didn't go inside, my partner said the service was excellent and the staff was very friendly. The crispiness held up really well on the 20 minute drive home. The portions are quite large. Pairs well with a Green State Lager and some sea shanties.

I have supported this restaurant since they opened a few years ago. Each time I go in the crowd slowly gets larger. I love the light batter they use to coat their fish. I highly recommend

The waitress was extremely friendly and our food arrived in under 10 minutes. The prices are fair and their rice pudding is delicious!

Holy kuh, this place is amazing! we are new in the opposite, so try a lot of restaurants and wow, fish chip is a showtopper. we ordered the calamari, fried calamari, fried skallops, fried sellfische, chips, fried garnelen and fried skallops and all were perfect. the weedic acid and spicy weeds are for them. editing to add: just ate the koleslaw and amazed. it is sweet, creamy and tangy. I love it – a great surprise for me, who usually doesn't like koleslaw! 100% will come back. I add that we have ordered to go, and we have met the owner at our visit and they were so dang friendly! excellent eating and out of this world service. this is a definitiw a way back for us, and everyone who visits us will naturally get this tasty!
