My go-to dish is their sausage with sauerkraut and either onions or red cabbage (I tried the turkey cranberry sausage this year), and it never fails to impress. Be sure to explore the store before or after your meal, especially on Saturdays when there are samples available. While they don't offer desserts at the Bite House, a short walk to the back of the shop leads to some delicious treats. This year, I tried the lemon mousse cake and it was absolutely delightful. Highly recommended!
We visited Denninger's for lunch and enjoyed the sausages prepared with cabbage and/or sauerkraut. Coupled with a local beer (Nickelbrook), the meal was delicious. Because there is cafeteria style, there are no long waiting times for service. Recommended!
After a long afternoon of shopping at Burlington Shopping Centre, we decided to eat something at Denningers Restaurant. While you go into you, you can smell all the great prepared foods from pastries, bread to the hot foods....oh so good. Although we were tired, we knew that we would soon enjoy a very nice meal from our feet. What is nice about this experience is that you get out of the shop window the foods you want, if you have a question, they are more than happy to help you. The meals we chose were absolutely delicious and cooked for perfection. It was all good and will definitely return.
The shop made products are fresh and tasty. Their cuts of meat are favorable if not a little more then other grocery store, and their specialties and treats are delicious.
We hadn’t been to Denningers in a few months but today, we needed a quick and easy meal to take home. I would have enjoyed the Rouladen or a Schnitzel or braised beef dinner but none of these were available. So we picked up some...ready made cabbage rolls, red cabbage and mashed potatoes. We actually threw the potatoes out because the taste and texture were like instant. The red cabbage recipe has been changed and the cabbage roll was basically cooked cabbage around a formed sausage like mixture. What has happened? Where is the good German cooking which this store used to have? We are very disappointed and not sure if we will return.
