Swiss Chalet Rotisserie & Grill

While we try new places often, we always enjoy coming back here. The food is lways so fresh, the service is always good and the value hard to beat.

Service was fine and food was okay but croutons in caeser salad were stale and the water tasted like swamp water. We usually like Swiss Chalet but this time it was not good.

Chicken was pronounced hot and tasty. Veggies and beef au jus were disappointing. Just warm and a great deal of fat in the beef, Accompanying bun was soggy because it had been plopped into the bottom of the plate which was awash in jus.

Don't usually review Swiss Chalet but this location was particularly well run , very clean, terrific staff, and our meals were great. Highly recommend (lots of locals at lunchtime so they are doing it right ).

This was our second visit with a gap of a few months - both times with our grandchildren in tow. We arrived at around 7.30pm and were promptly seated. Our waitress was kind and patient while taking orders for the children. After a bit of a wait, the meals arrived. The children's meals consisting of chicken strips/fries and cheese pizza with vegetables were fresh and hot, as should be expected!My husband and I ordered the standard Swiss Chalet dark chicken with fries for him and baked potato for myself. The chicken was tepid, to say the least. It must have been sitting waiting for suckers like us to order and receive this miserable piece of leg. Well, we were having none of this, because during our previous visit, the very same type of tepid chicken was presented to me and I had to send it back!The waitress took both the pieces back...just in case, we ate any more of that cold piece of bird! We waited and waited and my husband, poor guy, just ate the fries while waiting for the chicken to be produced. After 30 minutes or so, fresh pieces of chicken arrived. However, the damage was done! There is no coming back to Swiss Chalet. You can make a mistake of serving tepid. dried up chicken once, but not a second time.The waitress apologized for the delay, saying that she could not bring us uncooked chicken. But why bring us chicken which has been sitting for hours, in the first place. This is not customer service and we were extremely disappointed. The poor grandchildren were, by this time, tired and sleepy too!We will definitely not be recommending any Swiss Chalets in a hurry!
