Tha Spice Is Right - Burlington

We visited this restaurant when it first opened a few years back but hadn’t been there in about three years. Recently, we saw they had a new website, so we decided to give it another try and placed an online order. The ordering process was easy, but when we arrived to pick up our food, the restaurant was closed, with a sign stating it would remain closed until October 15th. Why wasn’t this information updated on their website? Now I’m left trying to figure out how to get my money back. I won’t be falling for this again. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Be cautious if you decide to order from them.

I looked up the restaurant on Google, which indicated that it was open, so I drove over only to discover that it was closed and had been for quite a while. This was quite misleading and a frustrating waste of my time.

We recently dined at The Spice is Right to satisfy our cravings for authentic Jamaican food, and it truly exceeded our expectations. The flavors were exceptional. I personally would have liked a bit more heat, particularly from hot peppers, but I realize now that I mistakenly assumed "medium" would mean "hot" in Canada, while authentic Jamaican spice might be much more intense. The medium heat was actually quite enjoyable. Next time, we’ll definitely go for the hot—maybe even extra hot! The staff was exceptionally friendly and genuinely grateful for a modest tip.

I decided to try Tha Spice is Right, and I was pleasantly surprised by my experience. The staff were friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. I will definitely be returning!

The food was amazing! I ordered online for pickup and received a friendly welcome from the staff. The wait time was minimal, and they adhered to COVID safety protocols. I can't wait to go back and try more dishes from the menu!
