Great coffee and lovely quiches. Super warm friendly staff and a great atmosphere in general. A good cafe to come unwind and read a book/get some work done too!
4.5/5 My Italian friend told me that Divano means Sofa which is so funny to me and it IS a good descriptive word for this place!Caffe Divano recently kindly invited me to come check out one of their lovely coffee shops (They have 3 locations and a new Pie Shop named after their Daughters, Gabi and Jules! . I was super stoked and was very pleased by the food and the people working there! Everyone who works there gives off warmth and were incredibly nice and helpful!
A great way to start the day is here at Caffee Divano at their busy Burnaby location, one of three locations for this chain of cafes serving artisan coffees, house made sandwiches and baked goods. Latte art is beautiful!. Feature Crostata (bottom left corner). The feature crostata with strawberries and blueberries was my favourite of the bunch. The pastry was so buttery and had a good substantial weightiness to it that held up the berries well.
After having a delicious meal at Jo Ju Tofu Hotpot a few doors down, nothing would be more satisfying than having a coffee (or coffee shop related) beverage! Even better is when the coffee shop itself is local and independent! Luckily for me, Caffe Divano satisfies both of those criteria!. Opting for my usual, I got a steamed milk (2.50). I find that the simplest drinks can sometimes be the most satisfying. It was very smooth, creamy, and piping hot. The shop has a wide assortment of baked goods from macaroons, to homemade Oreos, and they even have paninis…these all demand a separate revisit in the future.
