The other weekend, a friend organized an outdoor get-together where everyone brought their own chairs and dinners. Having a craving for Italian food in the area, La Villetta came up in our search. Italian food, reasonable prices per website, and a short wait time before picking up? All our boxes were checked. Penne Amatriciana (spicy) and Spagetti con Pollo were his and hers choices respectively. Walking into the restaurant, I instantly fell in love with the atmosphere. Even with all COVID-19 restrictions (probably 12 feet between all tables, markings on the floor, all staff wearing masks), it was a beautiful restaurant, akin to stepping off to a European landscape. There was the inner restaurant in itself, and an enclosed faux patio. Had I known the restaurant was open and was that spacious, would have suggested to my friends to move the gathering here! (Maybe next time). The portions were quite generous given take-out sizes, and they included utensils (upon request). I thought my spagetti was quite solid: good noodles, enough chicken and mushrooms, and not slathered in rose sauce. When the boyfriend said I absolutely had to try a penne noodle, because it was the best penne he had tasted, I put aside my reservations for spicy food and tried one. Wow! I have never tasted penne so good...it was the perfect mixture of bouncy and soft noodles. It could have had any sauce on the dish and it wouldn't have mattered: this was the best penne noodle I've had in my life. Next time I go, I am dining in, and taking food pictures to attach to this review.
Linguine a la villetta. 2 scallop 3 shrimps zero smoked salmon. #notimpressed. Fiance got linguine della casa with zero Bocconcino. Other then that service is friendly and place is clean. This is our second time doing take out here and the first was impressive. I normally dont like leaving a bad review unless I feel truly ripped off.
This little pasta restaurant has been here since I was born. I've lived in the Burnaby Heights area for my whole life and I love this area. It is filled with delicious food and small little shops and this pasta bar is a lot better than that trashy one down the street with the line up that is out the door. YOU KNOW WHICH ONE I'M TALKING ABOUT(the one that starts with an A)... ANYWAYS, onto this amazing little low brow and rustic pasta restaurant. You can get the full bread with Pasta. I love their gnocchi here, it is literally little pillows in your mouth. They can serve it in countless of sauces and on top of that their bread comes directly from Valley Bakery down the street. Supporting your local businesses~!! I came here for my mom's birthday and they gave us a surprise with a white raspberry cheesecake to end off her night. It was fantastic and I had an amazing time. If you want pasta, come here and you'll love it.
We were looking a nice little Itialan place we fouind it . The prices we great, The service was great . The food wasvery good . Bread was served right away, the Ceaser Salad was served fast, The Pasta I was served wasvery good along with my Wifes was served HOT and Fast I will come back I would tell friends to Dine here
One wouldn't expect a gem to be tucked away with other businesses in North Burnaby, but this cozy restaurant is there with a quiet and comfortable atmosphere that will keep me coming back. We sat at candlelight next to the window that overlooked the mountains and Vancouver while the sun was setting it was lovely. Their hot, fresh baked bread is almost as sublime as their fast and personal service. Their pasta and lasagna is full of flavor and makes me hungry for more! (Also the linguine della casa pairs beautifully with their merlot!
