White Spot North Road - Burnaby

I ordered the Bacon Cheddar Burger with fries, which turned out to be pretty standard for this chain—definitely met my expectations. However, the Fried Chicken and Fish Chips were disappointing and fell short. The chicken pieces were thin and boneless, while the fish portions were quite small. Both items had an unusual taste to them; it seemed like the frying oil might need changing, or perhaps they were using older ingredients. I'm not exactly sure what caused the strange flavor in the fried proteins. The fries were only lukewarm with the first serving, but they were hot and fresh when I got round two. Overall, I'd rate the burger a solid 7/10, but the Fried Chicken and Fish Chips only get a 5.5/10. - @veryhangryguy

The food at White Spot is generally consistent across locations, though there are a few I tend to avoid. However, what sets this particular White Spot apart is its stylish interior renovation, which gives it a more upscale feel compared to others in the chain. This enhanced atmosphere positively influences every aspect of the dining experience. Out of all the White Spots we’ve visited, this one stands out as the best.

We visited on Sunday around 2 PM during Happy Hour. We ordered Gochujang Lettuce Wraps, Chicken Salad, and a couple of larger beers. Overall, the meal was enjoyable and satisfying, and we received a generous serving of fries with our dishes.

We received a warm welcome as soon as we arrived, which was a lovely touch! However, we did have to wait quite a while before we could place our food order, and our meals took some time to be served as well. On the plus side, the food was fresh and delicious. We're excited to come back soon!

The burgers and comfort breakfast here are just okay. The chef's specials don't live up to the hype, but since it's a chain, you can anticipate standard quality at a standard price. It's a dependable choice for burgers and breakfast, particularly the two eggs over easy, served with multigrain toast and hashbrowns.
