The cornbread also had no flavor and the Mac and cheese (Mac and Steve) we left it sitting on the plate with a couple of bites gone. The coleslaw was not finished either. The only thing we finished were the French fries.
This was our first time eating here. Checked out reviews on Yelp. We sure are glad we tried it. The food was delicious .I had a grilled chicken sandwich with apple and goat cheese and my husband had the vegetarian flatbread meal. The waiter was super nice and helpful. We will go back!
The service was wonderful but the food seemed to be hit or miss. Some dishes we ordered were fabulous and others were kind of bland. Overall, it probably wouldn't be my first choice to go back to but I'm not going to avoid it if everything else in town is closed again like it was when we visited.
Stumbled into this place looking for dinner before going to the theater. I loved it. My food was very good. While the cornbread is not typical southern style I loved it. I got the soup special it looked beautiful and tasted awesome. Salmon was delicious. Wait staff very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend.
And this is my second visit to the Cast Iron Kitchen. Unfortunately it was very disappointing both food and service. I ordered the Reuben sandwich with fries. Unfortunately the bread was soaked in oil so much so that the oil pooled next to the sandwich and overpowered the taste of all the other ingredients. Our server was not on point at all. My friends and I had to ask her for every single thing meaning silverware, water Etc. but our seating was wonderful while listening to music coming from next-door. I will not come back again with my friends. There are other restaurants to try along the road
