P & R Bakery - Burnt Pine

P & R Bakery bake a great range of bread, cakes, savouries and pies on a daily basis.They are located within P & R Grocery store which is very conveniently open till 9pm daily every day of the year.The bakery makes small bread loaves and low costs which is ideal for a single person or couple. The range of products made are great for snack or even for a quick lunch with table bench and seat available outside. It has come handy for late evening snacks when all other places have closed their kitchens.An Australia Post desk is located at the rear of the grocery store.P & R is opposite the central service station and a short walking distance from the hospital

The range of sweet & savory baked goods is very good. The food is fresh and very tasty. The service is very friendly and always helpful. The bread comes in half and whole loaves, but you are not charged more for the half loaf like most places on the mainland. This bakery is apart of a grocery store, which has a good range of products and the post office is located within the same space, making it easy to do all your transactions in the one store.

The restaurant offers fresh bread, fruit, vegetables, and Oma's currant bread on Thursdays. The Post Office is located at the back of the shop.

I was pleased to find gluten-free bread and fresh gluten-free muffins at this restaurant. Despite the challenges of being on an island, they had a good variety of options available.

The restaurant is not very large, but it has enough supplies to help during the current resupply shortages on the island. They offer a reasonable selection of products.
