Verda's Cafe - Burwell

The restaurant offers a friendly local atmosphere and serves typical American breakfast items. During our visit, we noticed they were understaffed with a woman handling all the tasks. Despite the challenges, both the food and service were good. The only downside was the weak coffee, but this is the only option in the city!

I am not sure what happened because we have always received great service in the past. However, today we waited 45 minutes and still did not receive our food. We decided to leave after waiting for an hour for our eggs and toast. We have dined here during rodeos and junk jaunts in the past. I noticed that the restaurant is now up for sale.

We stopped at this restaurant for lunch on our way to Calamus Reservoir. The staff was friendly and the food was delicious. My partner had a burger with fries, and I had a breakfast burrito with Tater Tots. The dishes were simple but well prepared. Just be aware that they only accept cash, but there is an ATM near the entrance for your convenience.

Great small town Cafe with friendly people and wonderful food. Sunday special of pan fried chicken, corn, mashed potatoes gravy, roll, dessert iced tea for less than $10. Pretty sure nothing came out of a box, all home made.

Sunday lunch was great. Pan fried chicken, corn, mashed potatoes gravy, roll dessert plus iced tea for less than $10. Service was awesome, very friendly. Just a great small town Cafe with wonderful people and tasty homemade food, pretty sure nothing comes out of box here.
