Tried their dumplings several times and their fried chicken and rice. <br/ <br/ Dumplings are a good portion. Texture is a little doughy and they end up being stuck together but whether you like that or not is a bit subjective the filling itself is quite nice. It's very oily so make sure you ask for tea if they don't provide.<br/ <br/ Fried chicken and rice was mediocre at best. Rice was very dry, and the crumbs on the chicken were also quite doughy. Portion size was good at least, but I would recommend you stick to their dumpling menu.<br/ <br/ Place is a little run down and can get very busy. Service is generally quite slow and poor. This is the place to go if you're looking for a feed, not a fine dining experience. For a cheap eat on a student budget, I'd say this place is worth trying at least once.
I come here every week after uni because this place is awesome! The staff are always friendly, the service is quick and the vegetable fried dumplings are to die for.<br/
Price is cheap probably because of near Deakin Uni. Portion is pretty generous and taste is pretty good! The bowl of rice was probably one of the biggest amount of rice I ever get served with in restaurants. The best dish we tried was the chicken ribs. It was so crispy and tasty. We had the stir fry chinese veggies with oyster sauce and it was so-so. The sweet and sour fish was okay, nothing special other than the fish was battered crispy. We noticed the tea served was getting weaker and weaker. Dumpling was okay. Would not mind try other dishes next time. Oh, they also put sign up that they do not use msg which is a big plus!
I love to come here for the xiao long bao and their fried noodles. Very generous portions at cheap prices great for when you don't want to spend too much and to satisfy those dumpling cravings without travelling too far.
