Inferior location and settings, however very consistent quality, signature dishes such as Freshwater prawns, Nanjing meatballs. dumplings and yellow bridge cakes.All at a very reasonable price, its so under value if in the fine dining settings, it could charge 4 times the money, we often washed down with few bottles of fine table wine.It's one of the hidden gems in the inner western suburbs.The only shortfall is the service which is non-existent.

Came here with friends for lunch and served in very authentic Asian style familiar to those who frequent such eateries; communication from staff was brief and blunt, menus were given and taken away without a word. On our particular visit, basic dishes were delayed as they were "complicated to make", and remarkably, two servings of the same dish were served some 10 minutes apart. However, upon eventual arrival, food was decent and authentic albeit over-seasoned at times.

This is our first experience tasting this Nanking dishes and found them are extremely delicious! We had Boiled Duck Soup (Nanking style) was most inviting and so was King Prawns with salted Duck Egg Yolk, Nanking Duck, Seafood Fried Rice Noodle (dry), and Pork Chop with Sweet & Sour Sauce.Interior Decor is good and the staff is friendly and helpful.It was worthy the trying. Very nice Nanjing food restaurant in Sydney. Nice Staff always have helpful suggestion. All food are delicious. I like the Nanjing Slat Duck, Pork (inside aluminum paper) and the lamb with small bone. Dinner time they are very busy. So normally we go there around 6pm.

Had lunch. Dishes are based from the Nanjing area in China. The soup ( tofu based) was acceptable . The dumplings were good. Outer shell was not as refined but flavours inside were good. Prawn rolls were ok. The braised tofu with prawn was plain. Good deal for lunch. Soup and dumplimgs for $12. Basic décor. Service was good. BYO. The cold fish dish as an appetiser was acceptable.
