Elton Fish Chip Grill - Bury

After working out at the gym for 3 hours, I was starving and happened to see this chip shop on my way home. I decided to stop in for a chip muffin at lunch time and I have to say, these are the best chips I have ever tasted. Now, I make it a point to visit for lunch every Monday and would highly recommend it to everyone.

I have been wanting to try Elton Fish Bar since it opened. After a long 10-hour work shift, I made a special trip there for dinner since there was no food at home. However, I am currently regretting that decision. I ordered chips with cheese and gravy, but unfortunately, the chips were undercooked, there was barely any cheese on them, and the portion size was disappointing. The cheese was not even a handful and was simply spread out on the chips without offering an alternative. Despite the friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere of the place, I was unable to finish my meal and had to throw it away. Although the restaurant seems popular during dinner time, I was disappointed by the quality of the food. Overall, based on this experience, I will not be returning to Elton Fish Bar.

I am not a staff member of Rhysywoo. I have simply shared my honest review of the food and service at this restaurant each time I have visited. In my experience, the wait time has always been shorter compared to other nearby establishments. If you had a complaint, it would have been more appropriate to address it with management rather than being rude and attacking me.

This is a chippy that also offers other dishes such as steamed cod with pesto. The fish is beautiful the batter really crispy, the chips are good English chips and it's really good value for money, we fed 4 of us for much less than the other chippies in tge area. The shop is open morning till night doing breakfasts as well other foods, coffees etc and the food really is fantastic. Pretty much all our neighbours recommend it as do we, keep up the hard work.
