Ice - Bury Saint Edmunds

On January 13th, 2024, my party of four (two couples) visited ICE restaurant at 12:30 pm. We were excited to try out this establishment after finding it online. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The nachos for starters had a poor cheese sauce, soggy chips, and were only saved by the pulled pork. Our main courses - which included sirloin, an open steak sandwich, and two chicken burgers - were also subpar. The steak on the sandwich was undercooked, the sirloin was cold and poorly prepared, and one of the chicken burgers was served cold while the other had raw chicken meat. When we addressed these issues with the waitress, she argued about the color of the chicken meat in the burgers and reluctantly replaced them with similarly cold dishes. To top it off, the Eaton mess sundae was lacking in quality, with just one small meringue and frozen raspberries. We had high hopes for ICE but the food and service fell short, ultimately leaving us disappointed. Despite the nice atmosphere, we will not be returning. The staff at this restaurant are attentive and lovely, creating a great atmosphere with a quirky vibe. It offers great value for money, though the menu is on the small side with an abundance of burgers. Despite this, I will definitely return. The service was excellent, with a 5-star rating, and the atmosphere was also rated at 5 stars. Recommended dishes include the Onion Rings, Burger, Fish and Chips, and Pulled Pork. Vegetarians will be pleased with the large vegetarian selection offered, with a high recommendation for those who don't eat meat. There is plenty of parking available, with free parking lot options. Price per person for a dinner meal is £90–100.

I had an amazing time at this restaurant! I will definitely be coming back. The service, food, and atmosphere were all top-notch. I would recommend trying the Fish and Chips. The price per person was between £70-80 for dinner.

Chilled out and always good, tucked away on a industrial estate but always busy. We'll worth a visit.
