The Canteen At Chinahouse - Butterworth

This is the best place I visited in all of Malaysia and Singapore. The live music was exceptional (it felt like we were listening to Penang's very own talented version of the Black Eyed Peas) and the crowd was stylish, with affordable drinks at the bar. The venue offers more than just a bar and music - there is also a cafe, restaurant, and gallery. I can't praise it enough and highly recommend visiting if you're in Penang.

What a fantastic experience! This restaurant in Penang is truly a hidden gem. It offers a unique and interactive dining experience with incredible ambiance. Guests can enjoy board games, art competitions, books, art galleries, and a tranquil garden in the back. The food is creative and freshly prepared. In the evenings, there is live music and a bustling bar scene. This restaurant easily ranks in the top 5 of all the restaurants I've ever visited.

Like the concept of the café/restaurant/bistro. the structure of the building is amazing and goes definitiw beyond its fantasy.

Varieties of cakes and beverages. They also have meals. The staff will ask whether you want to have a dessert or a meal bc they have two different kind of sitting. We had Tiramisu cake, passion fruit and mango yogurt smoothies and pineapple ginger lime. Price not that cheap but worth a try.
