I tried using google translate to ask them to change gloves and utensils/pans but that concept did not make sense to them. I repeatedly get contaminated throughout my trip despite my efforts.
My husband and I stayed here in March and ate at many of the restaurants. The staff was knowledgeable and the food was good. They made a special birthday cake for me, which was extremely kind of them to do. The cake was dense chocolate, very large, and not especially tasty, but thoughtful and celiac-safe. Their crème brûlée was delicious. I did not get sick at any of their restaurants and I was there for three days.
This all inclusive resort has a variety of restaurants. All handle gf and other allergies with ease. Most of the captains and head chefs handle the orders themselves and ...well make it happen. From cooking in separate kitchens to knowing every food and ingredient in the place. Just disclose the allergies to the host on your way in to each restaurant and they got it.
We had a day pass which included all you can eat and drink. Found the kitchen manager who worked directly with the chef to ensure gluten free options were not contaminated. Made pancakes in a dedicated area, offered omelettes in separate area. Gluten free pizza in a separate brick oven. Felt completely safe eating here.
They try to treat allergies, but they can really only treat gluten-free diets. Maybe it's easier for you to speak secretly. I tried to translate with google to ask her to change gloves and utensils / handles, but this concept made no sense for her. I'm getting contaminated again and again despite my efforts.
