My wife and I spent a long weekend at the La Fenière hostel where we had dinner at the Le Goût du Bonheur table on Saturday, enjoyed the brunch on Sunday and enjoyed two rich breakfasts. It was an extraordinary gastronomic experience, especially for my wife suffering from celiac disease since adolescence. Nadia Sammut’s cuisine is both refined and tasty, the menu never repeats itself, inspired by multiple culinary traditions (indienne, Japanese, Thai, etc.), and the use of chickpea flour, buckwheat or chestnut is a gustative ravishing. Behind each dish, one feels the desire to offer a healthy plate using high quality products from local agriculture. The service was irreproachable, with all staff able to meet our needs and sometimes even anticipate them. The hostel also offers an exceptional setting, in the heart of the sumptuous landscapes of the Luberon, which invite calm and serenity, away from the screens and news often anxiogenous. It is a healthy breathing and a pause in the world’s fracas. Our first experience in La Fenière was memorable and will certainly not be the last.
