Maenllwyd Inn - Caerphilly

Friendly staff, especially Alex, which is welcoming and attentive. The management treat customers as old friends. The menu is different and the food of higher quality than ordinary pubs. The children’s menu is much superior too. We come here regularly as a couple, with friends and with family. Its a lovely, well managed country pub.

Celebrating Valentine's with my husband with lunch at the Maenllwyd. Excellent food and good service. Gave us plenty of time to recover in between courses. Would definitely recommend a visit here.

What a fabulous 3 course lunch we had today for Valentine's Day. Alex looked after us with style and also wore red like me including a flower in her hair .... Fantastic!

There really are two things that are hard to find a damn good roast and excellent customer service and I have to say this place has them both. I have lived in Caerphilly for a while and never ventured to this place and what a shame to find I have missed out all those years. The food was good the people were polite but most importantly the customer service Emily provided was exceptional. She introduced herself, taking the time to offer conversation, made the right amount of eye contact to each member at the table. She was kind, warm and just lovely to be looked after by her. Just having that level of care makes me want to return.
