Goong Korean & Japanese Restaurant

The Korean food is nicely prepared and presented. It is a mix of Japanese and Korean food with Sashimi to Bimimbap. We had vege gyoza, geon pancake, bimimbap and cabbage salad. Miso soup and a serve of Kimchi rounded off a very tasty meal. It is fully licenced with reasonably priced wine and beer. They also allow BYO wine with a small charge. Highly recommend.

Had a very nice dinner here during a recent visit to Cairns. The staff were good and the food even better. Tried a variety of dishes and all were very well cooked and presented. Would return if the chance allowed.

This is an excellent Korean/Japanese Restaurant. Extensive menu with fresh tasty ingredients. Efficient and helpful service. Pricing very reasonable. If it was in my home town, I'd visit it often.

Not as good as we expected. Reviews were great. Food, service and drinks were were average. Tuna was great. Chicken karrage was okay but accomponiying salads were not eatable. Scollops small but tasty. Dumplings steamed so no crispiness.

Menu clearly marked with gluten free and vegetarian options. The tofu bibimbap is so delicious and is vegiac, and comes with miso soup. They will supply gluten free soy sauce but I take my own gochujang for the full experience!
