Dommat Beach Shack - Calangute

Out of quite a few shacks that we tried out near Calangute , Dommat scores more being somewhat organized and providing better service . What i loved was the Cheese Ham omlette and my banana shake for breakfast. Our chicken Hawain salad was no way bad , however they should improve on their salad menu as mayonnaise is the only dressing they make available here.

Quite a nice hangout place on Calangute, we had gone there after Souza Lobo to enjoy the tranquil sunset. And the place lends well to such an exercise as it opens up right to the sea face and the view is not blocked by anything. Coming to the food, we had the Calamari Rings, Prwans Caldin Rice and King Fish Steaks, and as always with Goan seafood, it was fresh and tasty.<br/ <br/ This was the first time I had Caldin, an authentic Goan delicacy, a coconut based curry with a greenish tinge and it was excellent, tasting a little like the Bengali Prawn Malaicurry, but lighter and as flavorful. Good place to chill out.
