The portions were large, but the quality was lacking. The service was friendly, but overall, I would not recommend this restaurant.
Beautiful pub in a beautiful location. the staff was very friendly and helpful. Eat really came fast and was very tasty. great value for money. will definitely be visited again.
Favourite County pub. always eat incredible. chips are a must and the cheese and swashing cake and pudding are amazing.
This was our second visit in the facility since the turn of the year. this public house is located just a few hundred meters from a country road, above the village newhey outside of rochdale, served both on lunch and evening, in the...week and at the weekend eating. most of the table service is located at the back of the pub, but diners can also eat at tables at other places. the menu offers a good selection of pub-grub favourites available in full-time or midday proportions. the food is ready to order and hot delivered to the table. if it is their first visit, then the test of chips is recommended, which are fried in a very special way, in order to convey a distinctive taste for which the pub is locally known. to finish their meal do not forget the dessert menu, these dishes are available with cream or ice cream, and come in considerable portions. to guide their comtibles there is a full bar service with a selection of beers, weeping and other drinks, including hot drinks. real ale is also available. as far as value is concerned, it was what they would expect for the type of tariff in the offer. the only negatiw was that we waited at our second visit for a few minutes before our drinks order was taken in table after sitting and one because waited to take over our food order. the place was not so busy at that time. the weekend is of course the most popular time, especially in good weather, when many visitors walk before eating around the nearby reservoir. If you want to enjoy a good weather, there are outdoor seats at the side of the pub, which is South-Facing. the bulls head has a large parking space right opposite the entrance of the front, but this cannot be enough to accommodate all patrons vehicles at peak times, and some have to park on the track that leads from the main road to the pub. there are steps at the entrance front, but a side door is available for people with mobility problems. the bulls head is accessible from a local junction of m62. important credit cards are accepted.
We walked from the nearby reservoirs to this restaurant and were warmly greeted by the red-haired bartender. We only had one round of drinks, but the atmosphere and coziness of the place will definitely bring us back.
