Oc's Coffee House - Calderdale

I frequently dine at this restaurant. The hot sandwiches are excellent. I have also used their catering services and have had very satisfying experiences.

My friend and I stopped by for lunch and our overall impression was that the restaurant was in need of a thorough cleaning. The wedges we ordered were lukewarm and not fresh. Although we love cake, we decided to go elsewhere because most of the options here were wrapped in cling film, indicating they were not freshly baked. The extensive menu may be part of the problem, as a smaller selection could mean fresher items. The most noticeable issue was the thick layer of dust covering everything. It was clear that the place had not been cleaned in a long time. Despite the friendly and helpful staff, the lack of cleanliness was a major drawback. We were disappointed and would not come back, as my friend described it as feeling grubby.

You really must visit OC's to appreciate the value for money and quality of food you will get. The range of cakes is unbelievable, all home made and rustic. The sandwiches are packed with filling and the prices beat anywhere I have ever been. You can even try a sample of cakes for free on the counter as you go in. In this day and age where everyone is out to make a killing on the average punter this really is a refreshing change. You can get a hot meal for £2.50 where else would that happen. You will not beat OC's for quantity, quality and choice. This is good honest food at extremely affordable prices. Try it for yourself to see what I mean. This shop is in direct competition with a very nearby sandwich shop. I have been to both shops and there really is no comparison..

Our son took us here for breakfast. Plenty of good quality food and delicious cakes to takeaway for later.

Regularly have the full English breakfast which is very good, as are the other hot meals. The kids meal is also good value.
