I decided to try the roasted root vegetable lasagna, which was served with a small side salad and was absolutely delicious. It was also a great value at £5. The staff is always attentive and polite. I highly recommend making a reservation.
That used to be our favorite pub for eating. for the second time, however, we arrived to find the table that we had booked, someone was assigned to appear on our booking. I have booked a table in the snout and said they would make sure we have a table in the snout. at the arrival we found that our booking was changed and we were placed in the restaurant. I was referred to the person who managed the bookings for them to solve the problem. but she didn't talk to me, she just told the staff behind the bar to which she could move us. to see how I had been addressed for help. no excuse. eating was good as expected, but the menu was quite limited. it seems that some diners can book late and other customer bookings are changed to include them.
I tried the steak deal for 2 people, which included a bottle of wine, all for just £35. This offer is fantastic value for money. The service was also excellent.
Just visited for the first time on the back of a recommendation. It certainly lived up to expectations with one of the best steak and ale pies I have ever had. Other members of out party had fish and chips off the retro menu which...were excellent also and competitively priced at £7.50. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. Will be going again.
Booked for a catch up Sunday lunch with friends. Skipping starters we all opted for the set menu with the roast lamb the most popular, steak pie and fish chips next. The quality and taste was exceptional followed by great cheese and puddings. Add...the good attentive service and value for money what’s not to like.
