The new owners of this charming pub have definitely left their mark. The food is delightful with a diverse menu selection. The beer and wine options are excellent. The staff is friendly and attentive, always willing to help. We frequently bring our elderly parents who adore this place. Can't wait for our next visit.
Located just five minutes from Hard Castle Crags, this restaurant offers decent parking and attentive, polite staff. The food is hearty with a great menu that includes all the Sunday classics. The bill is very reasonable and the toilets are spotless. They can cater to both large and small parties in a cozy country setting. Definitely worth a drive out.
On the outskirts of Hebden Bridge this little pub was warm and friendly. This was our first visit and we understand the new owners have only been in a short time. The bar and eating area were nicely decorated and the staff very approachable and...helpful. We enjoyed our well priced lunch the portions were very generous! Lots of real ales on the bar with a barman who is happy to tell you about them. Don't be put off by the exterior, which needs a bit of a tidy up, as it is well worth a visit.
Called here on our way home on an impromptu visit to meet up with family for tea. The pub has a lot of character and features. After a drink and our family arriving, we had tea in the dining room. I had the chilli in...a giant Yorkshire pudding with chips and veg. It was ‘alright’. The Yorkshire pudding was rock hard and flat. Upon first cutting in to it, some of it shot on to the floor! I’m not even sure if it was home made? The chilli was nice but no kidney beans in it. The chips were scrappy but the veg was nice. Not the greatest I’m afraid. Probably wouldn’t revisit. I’ve had better.
