Austrian Club - Calgary

Your food is consistently good. We often ate there, even with large groups, things go well. The selection of foods is strongly based on the Austrian-German side, but they are well known. Good selection of beer and wine. Happy to see them open again, it was a long time to come. You will not be disappointed yet away hunger, make sure to have apple strudel for the desert

We brought our friends to this restaurant to give them a taste of authentic Viennese cuisine. They were thoroughly impressed and delighted. We all enjoyed the various types of schnitzel (both Viennese and Jaeger), the pan-roasted potatoes, and salads. Of course, we had to end the meal with a slice of the famous Viennese cake, Sachertorte. It doesn't get much better than this - delicious food, great wine, and excellent service. A truly wonderful dining experience.

The waiter at the restaurant seemed rushed and busy, which was reflected in his expression. The ambiance was in line with the club's usual style. I was hoping for a higher quality meal, but it was just okay.

The food, service and beer is excellent. The decor is original guest house theme a little outdated but adds the ambience if you are looking for some good Austrian/German dishes. The event management is awarded by Andreas. I would recommend this venue for a birthday, anniversary or special event party.

This place used to be one of my go to restaurants when I worked just around the corner. Now, it is a destination place, but well worth it. We have found that the bar is the same menu as the restaurant but with a more...relaxed ambiance. And, they have Hacker Pschorr on draught! Highly recommended are their various schnitzels, the fiaker gulasch and their liver dumpling soup. And, did i mention the fresh bread? Service is great, portions are large and prices are very appropriate for what you get (mains are in the $15 to $20 range). And, the food is very good. Hearty German/Austrian fare not for the faint of heart or the dieters among us, but good for any appetite. This is a must try place if you are in the NE off 32nd Ave area of town.
