I had the vegetarian platter (2 varieties of rice, potatoes, a mix of tabouleh and greek salad, eggplant, and falafel with hummus and garlic sauce) and an order of dolmades. The eggplant and falafel tasted like over-seasoned bread crumbs and old frier oil; the dolmades tasted like they were from a can (if I had to guess, Cedar brand, the same as what you can buy from the Superstore). The rice (both varieties) was dry and lacking in flavour despite being brightly coloured. Only the hummus and garlic sauce made what would have been an otherwise so-dry-as-to-be-inedible selection swallowable. Definitely won't be ordering from there again.
This Iraqi restaurant located in the NE of the city of Calgary offering a wide variety of delicious Iraqi cuisines with the tasty Iraqi tea .
Recall going to this place 2 years ago and the donair was great. This time, the lamp donair was cold, the meat was tasteless. No going back again.
Great Kabab and shawarma , fast service, good option of lamb or beef or chicken available. relatively small area for dine in but otherwise it was a good experience
The tabbouleh was exactly the way I love it, very lemony and with far more parsley than grain. The large donair was not overfilled by any means but it was delicious with very fresh tasty veggies and great tzatziki. Unfortunately the place is a near total writeoff. The entire restaurant desperately needs a makeover, the chairs are '70s specials, and the diorama over the front door is just plain weird. But if you can keep your eyes closed while you're eating you'll really enjoy it!
