Bazille Restaurant - Calgary

Nordstrom recently opened in Calgary to huge fanfares.Bringing with it an actual instore sit down restaurant, a new concept for us since the demise of Woodwards.The restaurant is situated on the upper floor with windows overlooking Macleod Trail. The prices are very reasonable with coffee at a bargain $1:90. On the weekend there is a small breakfast menu as well as their normal offerings from a larger menu.Everything looks very appetizing and I have tried the calamari which was very nice which I had with a coffee for a light lunch. I then returned with friends to sample the breakfast menu, again we were pleasantly surprised at the price. The traditional breakfast was good without being great. I think the fruit on the side seems to be a bit of an after thought and without merit. I prefer my toast in a toast rack rather than on the side of my plateBut considering four of us ate breakfast for $50 plus tip, and we are considering returning in the near future speaks volumes. Please note that the restaurant times are the same as the store opening time, so Sunday mornings the restaurant opens @11am?

This food is to die for. The music was relaxing, and the service was fantastic. The servers are genuine people. We enjoyed everything there. The starter, the meals, dessert and especially the drinks. I LOVE this place. I'm so glad I found it and I hope to become a regular.

How could I be in Calgary for a number of years and not know this little gem exists (it took a friend moving from one restaurant to this one for me to discover it hi Gabriel)? Tried the Sunday brunch an excellent choice. The chive biscuits and gravy, with chicken sausage, is an amazing spin on the old classic. The spinach, mushroom and tomato frittata is superb (and large). Even ran into an old friend who is also working here (hi, Christina). The service is very friendly also! Excellent choice for brunch when in Chinook Mall Nordstrom.

You may not expect to find a fantastic fine dining restaurant inside Nordstrom, but Bazille will exceed your expectations. This is a place where quality takes precedence over quantity. The service is exceptional and prompt. We ordered a couple of appetizers, four main courses, and finished with a couple of desserts. The food quality is outstanding and every menu item is a winner. We particularly enjoyed the mango avocado salad. If you haven't been to Bazille yet, it's definitely worth a visit.

We have eaten at Bazille for many years and the food has always been consistently delicious. There is a wide variety of options to satisfy most people, including a kids menu. The space is comfortable and roomy. Our favorite dishes are the lime shrimp salad and the Bazille burger. The club sandwich is good but I don't care for the green beans added to it. We also recently tried the salmon and it may become one of our favorites. Overall, it's a great choice for lunch or dinner.
